It's 2009! A one-sheet is the first thing someone will see and whether it's printed or electronic it has to be eye catching and compelling to read. Having an interactive PDF version is imperative for bloggers, online retail, radio and press. We've been doing this for a long time...we know how to make it work.
CD Graphics...
Put a cheap homemade cover on your CD and you've cut the possibilities someone will be interested enough to listen to it in half. We judge things by the cover...it's just being human. It's great that your friend will do it for free and that's probably how it will look too. We've done covers for dozens of artists. Do it right.
